MEET KARI
I have always sensed immense possibilities within the world and within each of us and have known at my core that such possibilities are available to all, no matter how far afield someone may think they have strayed.
I have also recognized the importance of seeking sound guidance to fully unlock one’s potentials, leading me to engage in many forms of personal growth, such as therapy, physical wellness, and spiritual practice, and to pursue therapy/guidance as my vocation.
I chose to get my PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (now Sofia University) because transpersonal psychology expands the field of tools for transformation beyond those of standard western psychology. Traditional counseling methods are essential and can lead to a meaningful amount of relief all on their own. As such, I use them daily with clients. For those who want to keep plunging deeper into the seas of possibility, however, I will happily bring in my transpersonal training to guide you there.
Finally, my belief that all people have untold potential within them led me to focus the first decade of my career on working with adults within the criminal justice system, and to developing a specialization in working with adults who have engaged in sexual offending behaviors. That experience further deepened my faith in the humanity within us all, if only given the proper guidance to grow, and my practice has since expanded to anyone who is ready to really dive into the transformation process (especially those who fall into my various areas of specialty).
